Every single time — dinner, drinks, the movies, mini golf — the check comes and he goes "oh man, I forgot my wallet." Every time. This has been happening for two years.
Here's the thing though. He just got AirPods Pro. He ordered $34 worth of Uber Eats last night. He has a brand new pair of Jordans on his feet literally right now.
The wallet isn't forgetting anything. He just knows I'm not going to say something.
So I downloaded Reclaim. It's a money reimbursement app. And I pulled up his name, and it just — it showed me everything. Every time I covered him this year, what it was for, the amount, whether he paid me back. Which he has not. The total was $167.
I sent a payment request for the whole thing. One request, all of it, right there. He paid $80 in like twenty minutes and said "I'll get you the rest soon."
Which is more than I've gotten in two years so honestly we're making progress.
